Late Kindle owner loves it!

I actually got my Kindle second hand from a friend who's a techno-junkie and now wants an iPad. Luckily, it came with a whole library of books! I've had it for 2 months now and I love it. It's got some great features, it's easy to use, it's lightweight, and you can change the font for reading when your eyes get tired. I love that fact that you can download a book instantly and start reading. The only downside is that I can't get off it now.

great product but book quality needs to improve

Kindle is great, I have started reading more since I got it just because it allows me not to go around hauling a ton of books. Battery lasts forever and books are easy to get especially for those of us who live outside the US. It is hard if you want to go back and re read pages in a book just because you have to click many times, but that is just the nature of the product. The only thing is that some of the kindle versions of books have lots of typo's which is anoying since you are paying for them, this will hopefully be improved.

Bought this for a christmas present for my daughter in law. She does alot of reading, loves the kindle easy to down load books on, she takes it with her when ever away from home.

British Kindle fan

I love my Kindle. Having had it for about 6 weeks, I now take it nearly everywhere with me. Only one grumble; ther are very few British books on Kindle except for classics. I think, that now the British market is rapidly expanding, we should expect to be able to find, at least, the top 50 current British sellers.

Kindle: My best birthday gift ever!

I received my Kindle as a birthday gift a few weeks ago and I am already totally in love with it. I have always been an avid reader and I think my husband purchased it for me because he is tired of making bookshelves to hold all of my read materials. The Kindle is so lightweight and very easy to maneuver. I read a few chapters in the owners manual and have learned how to transfer my academic e-books to the device (I am in a Master Degree program). I love that I can access the web (and my school website) from anywhere I go. I don't have to be at my computer to comment on a class activity. I also love that I can post my favorite passages of books right to my Facebook account. If I am tired, I can have the Kindle read to me (the male voice is much better than the female voice) and the books download to my Kindle so quickly that it surprised me. I take my Kindle everywhere and love that I can download my favorite classics for free. Purchasing is so easy on the Kindle that I am impressed.

Overall, the quality is superior (compared to other e-readers) and it is very convenient for me. I can't say enough good things about this product. My only wish is that I would see an even bigger book savings (compared to purchasing at a store) but I am hoping the prices lower with time.
